Home Retention Inc. respects the privacy of homeowners and other visitors who use HomeRetention.org. This policy explains the types of information that may be collected, how that information may be used, and the choices available to you.
INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT
When you contact us or complete a Homeowner Assessment, you may provide information such as your name, email address, telephone number, property address, occupancy status, mortgage servicer, loan balance, monthly payment, delinquency or arrearage, foreclosure and trustee-sale information, modification history, hardship, income and affordability information, bankruptcy or legal issues, estimated property value or equity, and whether you want to remain in or leave the property. We may also receive technical information associated with website use, such as device, browser, referral, and general usage data.
HOW INFORMATION MAY BE USED
Information may be used to respond to inquiries, organize and evaluate the homeowner’s stated situation, identify urgency and possible routing pathways, provide educational information, improve the website and intake process, maintain records, prevent misuse, and comply with applicable obligations. Internal retention, legal-review, exit, and urgent classifications are triage tools only and do not determine eligibility, legal outcomes, or homeowner decisions.
SERVICE PROVIDERS AND REFERRALS
We may use vendors that support website hosting, forms, communications, analytics, customer relationship management, or related operations. When a homeowner requests or agrees to an attorney-access, LegalShield, Fresh Start, or other provider pathway, relevant information may be shared as reasonably necessary to facilitate that requested connection. Those providers maintain their own privacy practices and determine their own services.
COOKIES AND ANALYTICS
The website may use cookies and similar technologies for functionality, security, analytics, and performance. Browser settings may allow you to limit certain cookies, although doing so may affect website operation.
SECURITY AND RETENTION
Reasonable administrative and technical measures may be used to protect information, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure. Information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, security, and applicable obligations.
YOUR CHOICES
You may contact us to ask about updating or correcting information you submitted. Do not submit information that you are not authorized to provide. If a trustee-sale date or legal deadline is near, do not rely on a privacy request or website inquiry to stop or extend that deadline.
CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
HomeRetention.org is intended for adults seeking homeowner information and is not directed to children.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
This policy may be updated periodically. The revised version will be identified by its updated date.
